@yclavelouxart passion for art was sparked while studying fashion design at Marangoni Instituto in Milan. Since then, her creative journey has taken many forms, from running her own interior design firm to working as a head stylist for AtHome Magazine. The inspiration for her work derives from my travels, Cuban roots, and colorful winters in Miami. Thank you for supporting @reinegallery #artcanheal. .

We believe that art is often the hope and the meaning that we give to what surrounds us, this time we share the work of these 6 artists and we expand our horizons discovering more talents that enrich our world.⠀
•⠀
1. *Amy Sherald*: In particular, she is known for using a grayscale to paint skin tones as a way of challenging the concept of color-as-race. @asherald⠀
•⠀
2. *Julie Mehretu*: Mehretu’s work conveys a layering and compression of time, space and place and a collapse of art historical references, from the dynamism of the Italian Futurists and the geometric abstraction of Malevich to the enveloping scale of Abstract Expressionist colour field painting. #juliemehretu⠀
•⠀
3. *Faith Ringgold*: Ringgold's art and activism go hand in hand; her art directly attacked prejudice and served as a political statement, often using the shock value of racial slurs.⠀
Her works provide a crucial insight into the perceptions of white culture towards African Americans. @faithringgold⠀
•⠀
4. *Kara Walker*: Her drawings explain the history of outrage caused by interracial problems, and of racial segregation that comes directly from one's own ancestors. Through the ironic and contemporary treatment of this colonialist theme, it generates in the viewer a feeling of annoyance and discomfort. @kara_walker_official⠀
•⠀
5. *Lorna Simpson*: Photographer and multimedia artist whose work explored stereotypes of race and gender, most often with an emphasis on African American women. @lornasimpson⠀
•⠀
6. *Bisa Butler*: Identifying herself as “essentially a portrait artist who uses fibers and quilting as a medium,” she crafts pictures of people using the same conceptual approaches that a painter would a canvas. She pieces the fabric to illuminate and honor black children and adults whose stories may have been forgotten @GildaGarza Reine Gallery

Art go beyond the aesthetic and emotional view; fill our senses, and make us perceive new realities.

“Art Can Heal” is a crowdfunding campaign in collaboration with the World Woman Foundation and Reine gallery. Art Can Heal will provide vital resources, scholarships, and training in areas of art and entrepreneurship to women around the world. Supported by many amazing artists who donated paintings, artworks, and special stuff.
Art saves and gives hope in our fragmented society, but most of all, we believe art can heal.

I watched you live out yesterday, it was so excited for me hearing from this wonderful mothers!!!!!
Women are a great gift in nature with lots of responsibility and support to the community, today many have dropped out of their marriages due to mistreatments, torture by their husbands long waiting for the man's support, the girls have been brutally abused sexually , denied education, others have dropped out of school due to financial constraints, i have managed to identify a number of them who gamble to make ends meet with no clear path. In my mind, feeling and thinking something needs to be done I feel helping them by starting up tailoring centre but due to limited fund I need support and proper guidance on how to start up this

world out there, no matter the industry of a business, and it takes a thick-skinned person with persistence and tenacity to be successful in any small business. For women, some of the challenges can be especially difficult. In the U.S, Europe, and Asia we have come a long way from the Women’s Right Movement in the 1920s, but even so many women still face lower wages than men, more prejudice than male counterparts, and more sexual harassment than men do. Many single mothers face the challenge of raising a family alone while at the same time trying to bring in an income. As easy as it is to focus on those challenges, sometimes it’s better to turn your attention to those things you can control. So instead of attacking the system, this article focuses on ways we as women can take our fate into our own hands and succeed at owning our own small businesses. And while I’m specifically talking to women in this post, most of these points are equally applicable to anyone starting a business.
