I stayed here this weekend and I was awaken this morning by very loud rap music. When I opened up my window to see what was going on I was pleasantly surprised to see the UCLA Football team practicing as my room overlooked the football field. I took out my phone and took a snapchat for my kids. A female security guard on the patio beneath my floor began yelling at guests "no photography"!!! I put my phone down and walked away from the window. When I returned and stood in front of my window, she walked beneath my window and began yelling at me in a very aggressive manner and said "you can't stand there, you need to close your window". There was only one window in my hotel room and it overlooked the football field. I stood my ground, I was a paying guest and if the football team is having a closed football practice the hotel should not book the rooms that overlook the practice field. I did not request that particular room. For almost an hour this security woman followed my every move, if I got close to the window she would yell at me. I sat in the chair at my window and drank my coffee and got caught up on the news on my lap top. She stood beneath my room and would pretend to be talking to someone on her walkie talkie all while staring up at me. I felt this was a form of intimidation. When I checked out of the hotel I did complain and was given a discount on my bill by the manager. He told me they were planning on blacking out the window's that face the practice field so guests cannot look out. I cannot believe this beautiful football facility and conference rooms were built and now the windows will be blacked out. There is only one window in the rooms, so if you have a football field room in the future, you will not be able to look out the window and will be sitting in a dark room in beautiful So Cal. I have been staying at Luskin for the past 2 years and will continue to as this has been my only problem. It has always been such a pleasure to stay here. In the future I will request a room facing the front of the hotel.

The Luskin Center is state of the art in every sense. Beautiful facility with very friendly, attentive staff. Rooms are luxurious and contain every amenity you could ever want. Food and beverages are exquisite. Lush, drought tolerant landscaping and a lovely indoor/outdoor area in the lobby.
Kudos to Matt for all his assistance in directing me where I needed to go. Also to Patrick for being so courteous and helpful with my luggage. And to Robert for his very personal manner in the restaurant and lounge. No gratuities added; the staff replied that they are well taken care of, including full benefits.
I stayed during the Cal Poly appearance in Round One of the NCAA women's volleyball tournament. Pauley Pavilion is very close to the conference center. The staff was also very kind in asking about Cal Poly and its award winning season; no pretense involved.
Several of us came back after losing to UCLA and would have appreciated having a drink. The bar closes art 10:00 p.m. - a liquor license requirement for being on the campus grounds. We survived.
Thanks to the Luskin family for making this center possible and thanks to the staff for such outstanding, friendly and helpful service.
