Did you know that the very same Adobe softwares you use have also been used to edit some of the biggest blockbusters of the past few years? 🎥 That’s right, projects like Deadpool, Gone Girl, Hail Caesar, Terminator: Dark Fate, and Mindhunter have all used Adobe editing software! Here are some of the reasons these top editors chose to use Adobe.

🎬 The Mindhunter production team made use of the Dynamic Link feature: this allows users to smoothly work between Premiere Pro and After Effects, keeping editing in house and cutting down editing time from days to hours.

🎬 When the Gone Girl team used Premiere Pro to edit, they needed something fast. According to post-production engineer Jeff Brue, “Adobe Premiere Pro CC was faster than anything else in the market. That speed meant more iterations, more time to work on a shot, and more time to perfect an edit.” Gone Girl editors also made use of the Dynamic Link feature between Premiere Pro and After Effects to incorporate over 200 effects shots into the film.

🎬 Vashi Nedomansky, editorial consultant on Deadpool, has used Adobe Premiere Pro on his last four feature films “because of its flexibility, its power, and its stability.” In fact. Nedomansky has made the Premiere Pro template used to edit Deadpool available to the public on his website, vashivisuals.com. AVW speaker and Adobe Premiere Pro power user Jarle Leirpool also worked with Nedomansky to create a set of handheld camera shake presets in Premiere Pro.
