The Lovettsville Oktoberfest Committee regrets to announce the cancelation of Lovettsville Oktoberfest 2020 due to concerns for the health and safety of our volunteers, patrons, and vendors. For the past 27 years Lovettsville’s Oktoberfest has been an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate our community. This year we tweak that tradition and celebrate our community by staying apart; by working together to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic we demonstrate the love and sacrifice that make our community great. The cancelation of our event eliminates a major source of fundraising for many of our local non-profit groups and we encourage you to remember the many ways these organizations serve our community year-round by continuing to support them through your donations and your volunteerism.

Please stay safe and mark your calendars now for September 25, 2021, when Lovettsville Oktoberfest returns!

Best of Loudoun Nominations 2020

Hopefully you drop another vote for us today, and while doing so maybe throw a vote to a few of the people that help make our event and town so special. Friday Night at Oktoberfest wouldn't be as special as it is if it wasn't for the talents of Ghost Pepper who are in the running for best band. It's hard to pick a favorite brewery, but Lost Rhino Brewing Co. again brewed a fantastic Dachshund Dunkel for us this year to celebrate our Wiener Dog races. The fabulous team who run Cork and Keg Tours are looking for votes under the Wine Tour section, if it wasn't for them Beer Selection would be a much tougher task. Since opening local businesses 1836 Kitchen and Taproom and Back Street Brews Coffee & Tea House have been big supporters of the Fest and the Oktoberfest Ale Trail, please shoot them a few votes under the Dining Out Section(1836 is actually nominated in multiple categories.)

Our Story

Celebrate Lovettsville's rich German heritage with authentic German cuisine, live music performances, street performers, beer, wine and more. The Lovettsville Oktoberfest invites you to its 26th annual event on Septemeber 27-28, 2019. The event starts off with a hearty pancake breakfast, followed by the tapping of the beer kegs. Enjoy traditional Bavarian music and dance performances under the Main Tent with the Alte Kameraden and the Alpine Dancers. Savor the authentic German food of Washington Saengerbund and Doner Bistro. Head over to the Town Green to watch the Weiner Dog Races and cheer on your favorite pup. The kids will enjoy Kinderfest with FREE games and activities. Shop your way through over 120 art, crafts, and service vendors lining the streets. Make your way back to the Main Tent at 6:00pm on Saturday where “The Reagan Years” will awaken the 80’s music lovers in all of us.

Admission is FREE, parking is FREE, trolleys are FREE, and the all-day entertainment is FREE.
