The J/70 Worlds is finally here! 

61 teams representing 10 countries and states across the U.S. are all vying for the title of J/70 World Champion.

Yesterday’s Opening Ceremony at C*C kicked off the next five days of intense racing on Santa Monica Bay. Sunday afternoon there will be an awards ceremony on the lawn.

All members are invited to be part of the excitement - tickets to evening festivities are still available. Contact the Club for more information.

Not every week do we get special sponsored bottles like these… but every Wednesday night we DO host Sunset Series with drinks and a buffet afterwards on the patio!

More info on C*C’s Sunset Series below-

Enjoy the 2021 Sunset Series, promising a new season of exciting Wednesday evening races. Look for our traditional Racing and Cruising Division classes on the race course and a renewed focus on family-friendly fun.

Racing has begun and 15 races are scheduled through September 8 (No racing on Aug 11, while C*C hosts the J/70 World Championships). Top performers will be issued invitations to compete in the King of the Hill and Cruising Championship races on September 15. Our race committee signal boat, the Charles Hathaway will serve her sixth year on RC, and will be stationed at the SS mark for the start of each race. Boats should not delay in obtaining their 2021 PHRF rating, which will be required to properly score each boat.

Cheers and good luck to all sailors!!

C*C Women’s Association visited @robinsongardens followed by lunch at the club.

The California Yacht Club Women's Association (C*CWA) is an association for all female C*C members, each of whom is invited to join us in the wide variety of activities planned for 2021.

This year's mission is to reach out to all female members of the Club to become involved in our sponsored events.

The purpose of the association is to promote activities for women within the club, though the activities are open to all club members and their guests. The involvement of C*CWA in all aspects of the club's activities has been a key factor in the success of the events sponsored by C*C since its inception. C*CWA board meetings are held once a month.

We had a wonderful Juneteenth BBQ with @morfiasribs yesterday and C*C will be hosting Brunch all morning and then an all-you-can-eat “Everything Bacon” BBQ 🎉

We are now sold out for today but please make your reservations for next week and don’t forget Yappy Hour from 4-6pm on the lawn today. Looking forward to seeing all you Dogs, Dads, and Dog Dads!
