I hope this decision will not only help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, but will also bring the Iranian-American communities together, while promoting Iranian art and culture.

دوستان عزیز بدون اغراق الان بیشتر از پنج ماه است که من روی جشنواره نوروز کار کرده ام. مطمئن هستم تمام هنرمندان و صاحبان غرفه هم زحمات بسیاری برای برگزاری این جشنواره کشیده اند. حدود یک هفته ای است که با خودم چالش بسیار دارم برای برگزار کردن و یا برگزار نکردن این جشنواره. با اینکه این ویروس کرنا بسیار خطرناک است ولی راستش من هنوز هیچ تذکری از هیچکدام از مراکز دولتی برای تعطیلی این جشنواره نگرفته ام. و هنوز فکر نمی کنم در منطقه ما خطر اینقدر نزدیک باشد. همین امروز آخرین کارهای برگزاری این فستیوال را انجام دادم. ولی چند لحظه پیش فکر کردم اگر از جان خودم نمی ترسم شاید باید نگران جان دیگران باشم. امروز تمام کارها را نهایی کردم. ولی چند دقیقه پیش حسم بهم گفت که باید این جشنواره را تعطیل کنم. نمی خواهم بهر دلیلی اتفاقی در این جشنواره بیفتد و جان کسی را بگیرد. الان بعد از این نوشته و شارژ شدن تلفنم باید شروع کنم به دیگران خبر دادن. فکر می کنم کار درستی کردم. جشنواره امسال تعطیل شد.
آرزو می کنم این ویروس کشنده از فضای همه کشورها مخصوصا کشور خودمان و چین و ایتالیا و آمریکا و انگلیس و وووو بارش را ببندد و برود.

امسال به همت «مرکز موسیقی کلاسیک ایران» غرفه فرهنگ و هنر ایران در جشنواره نوروزی تایسنز برپا خواهد شد. در این غرفه صنایع دستی، لباس‌های اقوام مختلف ایرانی، آلات موسیقی ایرانی، فرش‌های ایرانی و هر آنچه مربوط به فرهنگ و تمدن ایرانی است به نمایش گذاشته خواهد شد. گروه‌هایی از هنرجویان کودک و نوجوان مرکز هم به اجرای زنده موسیقی سنتی ایران خواهند پرداخت.

Held at Tysons Corner Center outside of Bloomingdale's, The Nowruz Festival is a the largest complimentary event for the Iranian-American community that celebrates the Persian New Year. The event is held in every March and has more than 10,000 attendees.
On the first day of Norouz, Iranian families gather around the Haft Sin, or “Seven S’s” table. Families take pride in the beautiful arrangement of seven items that start with the sound of S in Persian. They symbolize the hopes for a successful and happy new year.
