Blaine Stone Lodge, Diamond D Pyrotechnics, First Class Productions, and the Midlothian Masonic Scholarship Foundation have an announcement…..IT’S ON!!! The July 4 Fireworks Show will proceed as scheduled. In light of the current situation and to accommodate everyone, we added a parking area for those of you who would rather sit in your cars for social distancing. The lawn at Blaine Stone is huge and will accommodate large numbers of people while still allowing for distancing to be maintained. There will be food trailers, beverages and snow cones available on site for purchase. The main building, which is rated for 333 people, will allow no more than 100 in at a time for food and bathroom access.
The parking lot will be open at 5pm and the first band hits the stage at 5:30. Attendees are advised to follow guidelines pertaining to outdoor public assemblies as specified in the governor’s most recent executive order GA-28, which include minimizing contact with others not in the same household and keeping a distance of at least 6 feet apart from others. When not able to social distance, wearing a face covering or mask, particularly to protect others, is strongly encouraged.
Pricing is $20 per car and $10 per motorcycle. In order to make this event as “Touch Free” as possible, an EventBright link will be posted shortly to pre-purchase tickets. Cash and credit cards will be accepted at the gate, but attendees are encouraged to use the EventBright link.
This is the primary fund raiser each year for our Scholarship Foundation that awards at least $15,000 a year to Midlothian Seniors. Last’s year’s event was our first time at Blaine Stone Lodge and we hope to keep it up year after year. This year’s event features music from Blake Dagley, Ryan Savallo and will close out with our headliner, The Kadie Lynn Band. The fireworks are a pyro musical set to music and promises to be “The Greatest Show”.
