Did you know Aaron Archer spent over 18 years at Hasbro, designing for toy brands like Transformers, G.I. Joe, and Batman? Aaron worked on the Transformers brand for over 13 years, collaborating with Takara on hundreds of toys. Aaron acted as the Creative Lead for all Transformers partnerships including four feature films, four video games, five animated series, theme park rides, and countless publishing projects.

At TFcon DC 2019 Aaron will be hosting a unique workshop where attendees will be part of the development team for a fictional Toyline. This seminar will be part game show, part brainstorm, as the group uses prompts and reference art to shape our project. Throughout Aaron will share his experiences of 20+ years in the toy industry developing impactful characters for various Toy brands and the real-world issues that come up during development. Based on the brief and our individual creative input the group will conceptualize our own unique toy line by the end of the workshop*.

Aaron will share various approaches and why some of your favorite franchises succeed or fail and by whose terms? Open to anyone with an interest in the creative process (Artist, Writers, Designers, Dungeon masters) will find this an informative and entertaining workshop.

Limited seating 25 per session

Attendees will be invited to join a social media group to continue the discussion (participation is additive, not required)

*Art skill is not required to take part, just bring a desire to create with others and to share with respect.

We have learned that Bud Davis, the actor that voiced Dirge, Metroplex, and Predaking in Transformers Generation 1 passed away some time ago. Unfortunately, we don't have any additional details at this time. We can share with that fandom that he was not the stuntman, stunt coordinator, and occasional actor with the same name. Our condolences to his friends and family.
