Tri-County Music

I began my work here in the fall of 2011. That semester we had no idea what to expect in terms of enrollment or talent and were pleasantly surprised by a 17 member choir that performed beautifully. Since then, the ensemble has grown in number and ability—culminating in our current 27-member mixed choir. This ensemble is unique among other groups and classes at the college. It is our only active music ensemble (though hopefully this will change soon!) and one of the few student groups that receive college credit for participation. Our members are devoted, talented, and eager to learn. We have performed a variety of songs and styles ranging from 17th century European madrigals to contemporary bluegrass tunes. My hope is that by offering such a range of music we will have a wide appeal to our audience and to potential singers. We are off to a very exciting start and I look forward to where we will go from here!
