A big shout out to Heidi’s and Tammy Anthony for their donation of hot dogs, chips, drinks, condiments and supplies to feed the veterans today! Please help us in supporting one of our many amazing small businesses! It was a joint effort with Easley City Police and Pickens City. We thank everyone who attended and helped make this day possible. Most importantly, thank you 🙏 to every single active duty and veteran of our armed forces. If it wasn’t for them, we would have nothing.

Today is the day to remember all those who sacrificed their lives for the security of America.

Kimberly Hampton, an Easley, SC native, was the first female military pilot in U.S. history to be killed when shot down by hostile fire. She was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal and Purple Heart.

You can learn more about Kimberly’s life and dedication to her country at the Kimberly Hampton Memorial Park located at the Easley Library.

Wishing you a very Happy Memorial Day. #WhereTheMountainsBegin #ExplorePickens #MemorialDay2021 #RememberAndHonor
