We can't help but sing the lyrics of our theme song, See A Victory:
"The weapon may be formed, but it won't prosper
When the darkness falls, it won't prevail
Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
My God will never fail
There's power in the mighty name of Jesus
Every war He wages He will win
I'm not backing down from any giants
Cause I know how this story ends
You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good
You turn it for good"
In particular, it's the bridge that is stuck in our heads. You take what the enemy meant for evil, and you turn it for good. This is inspired by Genesis 50:20, which says, "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Your FOL leaders are convinced that Victory was supposed to be this years theme, and we still believe this to be true. But there’s a catch... Victory can’t happen without a battle first.
So as an Eastern Field, and community of faith, let’s put on our armor.
We are starting a movement, a call, a request, for radical faith and radical prayer, far and wide. Eastern Field, and beyond. We’re asking for God’s plan to reveal itself. #prayforfol
God. Is. On. The. Move. And He’s not done yet. The battles already been won. The enemy does not get the final say.
