Hi PRAM families!

Capturing portraits of your kiddos late last fall was a definite highlight of my 2020(!), and I’m so happy to return to the Washington Fieldhouse for more outdoor, socially distanced portraits again on October 16, 2021!

This portrait event is for toddlers through high school-age children, and kids will be photographed BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. As before, there’s no fee to sign up and you’ll pay only for the photos you want—ordered safely and easily through your online gallery on my website—with pandemic-friendly pricing for this special photo event.

You can see recent portraits with the same set up (black backdrop and natural lighting) at Shelly Rivoli Photography. And by the way, I’m fully vaccinated and still wear a mask for all of my student portraits this fall. 😉

With my Fine Art Student & Child Portraits, you’ll get:

>> More of a timeless, gift-worthy look than traditional (deer-in-the-headlight) school photos

>> A variety of expressions to choose from

>> Professionally edited versions to choose from of each image in color and black and white

>> The opportunity to overlap siblings for additional photos together

>> The option to add retouching for a blemish, bruise, or scratch

>> Options to buy archival quality print packages starting at $25 or individual photos from wallet size up to (new LARGER PRINT SIZES THIS YEAR) 16 x 24”!

And/or you can purchase your choice of high-resolution digital portraits (starting at $25 each, ready to plug into your holiday card or use for any purpose you see fit for all eternity (print release included)!

How does it work?

1. Simply book a time slot – with consecutive time slots for siblings you’d like to overlap – using my handy-dandy booking calendar. You’ll provide all the information I’ll need for your appointment and following up with the link to your online photo gallery, and I’ll send a confirmation to let you know we’re all set.

2. On photo day, I’ll be set up at the designated outdoor location (the back covered porch near the playground) and ready to greet your kiddos. Please arrive 5 minutes before your time slot to get checked in and make any final adjustments (a fresh combing and smile/booger check are highly recommended!). I’ll do my best to capture your child’s personality through a variety of expressions. (Some kids go to town on this while others are more reserved, so some children will have more options to choose from in their galleries.)

3. Approximately ten days after photo day, you’ll receive a link to your child’s gallery and instructions for how to view and order which prints you’d like or digital downloads. PRINT ORDERS MUST BE IN BY THE DEADLINE SPECIFIED on delivery, about 2 weeks. Digital files will still be available for purchase until your gallery expires, but I need all print orders in within this time frame to be able to offer this special event pricing through my pro lab.

Pro tip: Parents, you are encouraged to KINDLY step back during the photographing—it helps establish a better connection between me and my subject and capture those precious, authentic expressions! 😉

Safety precautions: The session will be completely contactless other than the stool kids sit upon, which will be sanitized in between uses. Everyone is expected to wear masks except for the child or siblings while being actively photographed. Thank you!

When will we get our pictures?

Digital portraits are delivered instantly, and print orders will ship directly to your home.

What about possible rain or smoke?

In the event that conditions will not be favorable for outdoor photography, I will roll the date forward and give everyone booked the first chance to confirm a new time slot before opening it up to others. In the event that your child is sick, please let me know if you won’t be able to honor your time slot in advance as a courtesy. Thanks!

What should my child wear?

Shades lighter than black, and darker than white tend to be the best for these portraits (the backdrop is black). I strongly recommend avoiding tops with bold graphics and WORDS. Solid colors or subtle patterns are usually the best bets. Also, for kiddos with long enough hair, I recommend wearing it down rather than pulled back (ponytail, etc.).

So, how do I register my child(ren) for portraits?

Hop over to https://shellyrivoli.as.me/PRAMstudents to book your time slot(s) for OCTOBER 16, 2021, in Point Richmond. I look forward to seeing you there!

Best,

Shelly Rivoli

Anyone want to help cleanup PRAM? Since playgrounds reopened, things still seem pretty quiet here. Would love to get the yard tidied and to see what we can do to make this a safe, usable space for the community once again. - trimming grass and bushes - add covid playground signage - clear up trash, leaves and yard in general I've been down there starting to trim the grass and some of the brambles and things that are overgrown, but I think it'll happen much quicker if anyone has a mower I could borrow or wants to lend a hand.
Hi PRAM parents - just a little local tip - Kaleidoscope Coffee should be getting a selection of preschooler/toddler books in next week (curated by me). They will have english and spanish language copies of about 20 different books. I literally just asked them to stock some kids books because I like picking out books to gift at Christmas and realized we don't really have a local bookstore now that we live in Richmond. Ask and ye shall receive ;)
After school shenanigans
ABC's "Kids Say the Darndest Things" is coming to SAN FRANCISCO! Our celebrity host, Tiffany Haddish, can't wait to meet the funniest kids (age 6-11) that SF has to offer! Our casting staff would love to get the word out to your amazing kids and offer them the opportunity to appear on the show! Parents with kids who are interested should apply ASAP. Please share!

Happy Halloween!
this place saved me when I was watching my niece and daughter both 18 months old! Forever grateful!
Hope to see more wobbling little ones today at Crawlers and Early Walkers play group, 5-6:30 Tuesdays--today!
Hello! My husband and I live in Marina Bay part time as he works in Richmond but are thinking about making a move here permanently as we hate living apart so much and want to be a stronger family unit for our 3 year old son. We are originally both bay natives so it would be more like a move back to the bay. We are wondering about the lifestyle of raising a kid in Marina Bay/ Point Richmond? I love the idea of PRAM and heard about you all on the Nextdoor app. Would love your input on areas to live we are considering sea cliff and the Breakers in MB. Do any of you live there? Do you love it? Where do you send your child to school? Etc? Any advice would be appreciated and also I would love to check out one of your play groups to see if it would be a good fit for our family! A
