With this Friday Introduction I want to reveal something personal? I do photography not because I need a side gig- I have a rewarding career and a busy young family. It's actually a challenge to pull it all off 😀. I do it because I get to have a creative outlet that takes my mind off of things. But something that pushes me even beyond that is thinking of how my work preserves your family milestones and precious memories. When people ask WHY I pursue a photography business, I simply respond that working with clients to capture something special is all the reason I need.

This is part of my legacy!

Friday introduction time. You may or may not know a whole lot about me, but I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer from the Maryland, DC, Virginia area- affectionately called the DMV. I’ve had my business for 9 years now and I love it. It’s not my full-time gig but that actually has allowed me to build my business how I wanted to without pressure. My photography is all about love, showing it and giving it. Love exists in the moments and the in-between moments. I get a natural high when I shoot and then when I’m done and deliver imagery that means something to people I get great satisfaction. I am constantly trying to learn and improve my craft to continue to give you something better than you can take with your smartphone 📱😄

What is a lifestyle photo session? I'm glad you asked. It is a photo session of anything in your life. Simple right. So whether it is an anniversary, a branding session or a special birthday- they all fit the bill. In this case, AT reached out to have a lifestyle session with his cool Harley. The really cool part is that he wanted to do this before he gifted the bike to his pops.

October already! I love this time of year and relish fall clothes and the leaves changing. I also love fall runs as the weather is just perfect. I’ve had my business page for a while, but I’d love to give you more insight into me and my business. I’m passionate about photographing couples and families because it allows me to preserve memories for them that will last for years to come. It energizes me and it allows me to get creative when I shoot. I also love this time of the year because I can give the kids a treat by roasting marshmallows in the fireplace, but tell me I’m not alone. What are your favorite cozy indulgences this time of year?

Added some new followers since the last time I introduced myself.
It’s me Damien.
My life is a constant balancing act with my family (wife & 3 kids), work as a marketing director and my thriving business as a wedding and portrait photographer. I’m not complaining. I figure I’m in my prime so I will rest when I retire 🙂 I actually get so much energy and joy from photography that it is a blessing to me. And it’s taken me to a lot of cool places with more to come. So one interesting fact about me is that I spent a summer in Paris 👨🏽‍🎨after business school and my French isn’t even that good.😜. Goes to show, don’t let anything hold you back from new experiences!

By the way, I practice what I preach. I believe in the value of professional photography and it is cool that I have a great network of photographers to support. This great headshot was done by the talented @portraitsbyspencer
