We've had one spot open up in tomorrow's Sunday Supper: Irish Stew class. Let Laura Pyles teach you the steps to building a perfect lamb or beef stew (you choose!) along with black pepper and sea salt Irish soda bread to sop up all the delicious gravy. You’ll finish out your hearty meal with a cauliflower cheese bake, since no pub meal would be complete without some Irish cheddar.

This year we were so sad about not gathering in person to open our holiday stockings, that Brandi created a Zoom “game show” to select our secret santa partners, complete with names hidden in yarn balls and bonus prizes in cups labeled W, T, and F. Halfway through, we learned that Brandi doesn’t really know how Secret Santa works — but we like our version better. Happy Holidays ya’ll, it’s a weird one!

Classes, wine club 🍷 , takeaway suppers🍴, and class kits all make wonderful gifts to family and loved ones. Every kind note and message we receive makes us so appreciative (thank you)! We LOVE that so many of you are buying classes to cook across the country with family! 🍽 - ❤️ - 💻

Foraged bracken fern, madrone, fir, cypress, rose hips, holly, grasses, bay, strawflower, cedar, lichen covered wild cherry, conifer cones, and dried citrus 🍊✂️✨

Local squash and a little December sunshine break 🌤 is making us happy! These beautiful delicatas are on the menu for our Italian Seafood Feast To-Go this month. Along with white cioppino, spaghetti puttanesca, and lemoncello tiramisu! 🍝 🍋 🐟🍽✨

We have Preservation Kitchen: Citrus 🍊🍋 classes with @basilandpoppyseeds to get your Pantry stocked for 2021, Badass Bartending 🍹 🍸 classes with @jermsauce to welcome in the new year, Classic Layer Cakes 🍰🎂with @idlewildbiscuits for all our frosting needs, along with so many other technique baking classes for adults and kids alike! And beautiful comfort cooking (like our Sunday Supper series) to keep your Winter table full of good food and conversation.

En Famille is a French phrase meaning “with the family.” Sometimes it refers to a meal, a casual gathering of family — born or chosen — around a table to spend time together sharing comforting, delicious food. Sometimes it refers to an effort, like multiple generations of winemakers working shoulder-to-shoulder, grandparents and grandchildren, to preserve tradition and to bottle magic. And sometimes it refers to a community, the kind that has gathered together around the Pantry’s long tables — and now our Zoom screens — since the beginning.

On tonight’s menu: Green yoghurt-braised lamb shoulder with fresh herbs; Spicy braised chickpeas with tomato, feta, and kale; Charred lettuces with anchovy garlic dressing and black pepper croutons; Roasted eggplant with whipped garlic, hot pepper relish, and grilled bread; and Honey olive oil cake with pistachios and orange whipped cream.

One of my favorite parts of an on-line class is that it is so easy to make again after class since you've already done it once in your own kitchen with your own equipment.
