The four labs include: (1) A Business Assistance Lab, which provides technical assistance on how to own and operate one’s own business (2) A Design Lab that aids others with the design process and façade improvements (3) Neighborhood Safety Lab that helps to implement ideas to make the neighborhood a safer and more enjoyable place to be and (4)the Real Estate Lab that provides owners with consultations and resources to increase their property investment.

Mission: To promote and develop the Seattle Chinatown International District as a vibrant community and unique ethnic neighborhood.

Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development...

Today is Seattle Foundation's #GiveBIG, an annual day of giving to local non-profits that make Seattle a vital place to live. With your help, we can keep Chinatown-ID a vibrant community and unique ethnic neighborhood.

At any given time, IDEA Space is working on more than 15 projects for #ChinatownID. Currently, we are working with the Little Saigon community to develop a small pocket park to address the lack of public green space in #LittleSaigon.

We are always working to revitalize and grow the the Chinatown / International District. This is only one of the many projects we are working on. Your GiveBIG donation can help our efforts in providing support to the #CID.

Friends who are marching this Saturday in the Women's March on Seattle: That day is the biggest shopping day for many of the local (many of which are mom-and-pop shops) stores in Little Saigon. It's often a make-or-break day as many folks are coming to shop for supplies to prep for the upcoming Lunar New Year. The march is going to disrupt their business day for at least a couple of hours, if not half the day.

Please consider eating dinner in Little Saigon or buying your week's worth of groceries from the stores there (Viet Wah is awesome!) or eating lunch there on Sunday.

It would be tragic if a march to protest an incoming administration--who we fear would trample the rights of immigrants and people of color--goes ahead and severely disrupts the livelihood of the same people.

Air Pollution in Chinatown-International District Survey

InterIm Community Development Association's WILD youth program and the Healthy Communities Program are partnering with Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) to support their air pollution study in the CID.

PSCAA needs your help: Please take this short, 2-minute survey to tell PSCAA where you see or experience air pollution. Your input will help decide where they put monitors to measure air pollution levels.
