Everything for Everyone Festival

Everything for Everyone Festival #e4e will be a festival and a space for a new culture, for a music, art, politics, and philosophy that are challenging everything. Many of us have had our minds opened by the Occupy movement.

We need to meet, and debate, and create together. Seattle, in August, will be one place - a festival to prepare to radically and fundamentally change society. We need a space for new culture. We need to create and strengthen new human networks between us. Join us -- to make music, art, philosophy and revolutionary politics. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Everything for Everyone Festival is a free, two-day music, art, and politics festival scheduled to take place in Seattle, Washington on August 11th and 12th. Visit us at www.everythingforeveryone.org. In 2011, the rule of the 1% began to be challenged in brand new ways. A wave of discontent with the old older of things began in Egypt and Tunisia in the Spring. This wave gained strength and momentum into the Fall with the Occupy movement. Now in 2012, there is a desire coming from everywhere on the planet to continue that spirit of resistance of 2011, and to develop it in new and meaningful ways. This desire for change is not manifesting itself in the traditional forms of opposition to the current system, nor is that desire seeking just to "fix" the old oppressive order to make it seem "fairer" to the relative few on the planet. The desire is for a new form of popular struggle, and a new content of the way we relate to each other as people and to our planet - our common home. This desire is not for merely balancing the budgets or repairing the social safety nets in just a few countries, but rather making everything for everyone all over the planet. We would like to invite those all over the world with this desire to come together in a celebration of the world we seek to bring into being, and to exchange our ideas about how make that happen. The Everything For Everyone Festival is meant to give a face for this new movement. The festival intends to facilitate debate and cross-fertilization between different ideas, for a mutual flourishing of those engaged in different aspects of a common struggle and those who have yet to participate. A movement for changing everything is much more than actions and protest, as vital as those are. It is a new politics, culture, and forms of organization; a new way of living. The Occupy movement has opened eyes and created new possibilities. This festival aims to include those who have participated and those who have yet to participate but are attracted to fundamentally changing society, and to provide a space for the new culture, the new philosophy, and new politics in its diversity and complexity to intermingle and grow stronger. It aims to bring together art, music, workshops, philosophy, and encompassing participation from attendants.

Never Use Alone

Never Use Alone

“Never Use Alone” is a number you can call when you have no choice but to use when you're alone.

If you call (800) 484-3731, an operator will answer your call, and ask for your first name, phone number, location, and whether you have any allergies, or medical conditions. After you've given us the information, you can go ahead and inject your substance. After you've injected the substance, we will continue communicating with you. If you do not respond after 30 - 45 seconds, we will notify emergency services of a possible overdose at the location you've given us.

We will never shame you, judge you, or preach at you to quit. If you are ready to quit though, we have treatment resources for every state in the US. Regardless if you have insurance, or not. We will do our best to connect you with the help you need. Please call. We are on standby ❤️

Homeless outreach program REACH asks to change its relationship with the city’s Navigation Team

In May, a body was found at the site of a sweep and the social workers on the Navigation team asked for a delay. The city denied the request and swept.

An organization contracted with the city of Seattle to perform outreach for people experiencing homelessness asked to change its relationship with the city’s Navigation Team, citing morale issues among its workers and concerns about the team’s efforts to provide trauma-informed care, documents s...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Occupy Houston activists demand FBI release assassination plot details

We want to take a moment to thank everyone for your concerns regarding information released about the FBI’s knowledge of assassination plans that targeted key participants in our movement. These plots involved the execution of members of Occupy Houston through coordinated sniper fire.

We want you to know we are ok, we are not afraid, and we are not going to run from this. We, Occupy Houston, have launched a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the documents, and are awaiting a response before deciding our next moves.

Occupy Houston activists collectively stand together and have made it public that we are running our own investigation of the assassination plots after learning that the FBI not only had knowledge of these plots but actively refused to inform Occupy Houston activists of the details. These extremely suspicious acts lead us to question whether the plot(s) were a government sanctioned plot or that of an independent entity.

Let's be clear: a terror plot such as this one put our lives in danger. The FBI has refused to inform us of the details. The FBI felt it was best to not only keep this imperative information from us but continues to heavily redact documents that would answer our inquiries. The FBI is actively shielding a vicious plan to murder us under the all-too-familiar guise of national security.

Throughout the time that Occupy Houston physically occupied Tranquility Park, it was made clear that the Houston Police Department, Houston Mayor Annise Parker, the Houston FBI, Dept of Homeland Security, Austin Police Department (who infiltrated and set up Occupier activists from Houston, Dallas and Austin) and other government agencies were not interested in respecting peaceful democratic assemblies, and in fact they used the most undemocratic and violent methods to suppress our movement, here and all over the country.

We thank our supporters who have stood by our side since 2011. Occupy Houston has formally requested the documents as of March 19, 2014. We demand the FBI immediately release all information pertaining this case.

We would also like to thank MIT student Ryan Shapiro for his continued support and attempts to obtain these documents, which were previously denied by the FBI. Mr Shapiro, we appreciate your passion to stand up to government entities who work feverishly to defame and criminalize democratic movements that belong to us, the people.

In time we will be issuing another statement when we receive the documents from the FBI.

One important thing we can use for #e4e: 4 hand PAs for workshops. With music going all day we will likely need at least small amp sized PAs for each workshop area. Anyone care to loan one to the festival? Email us at [email protected]
