This is a home-based position (Washington, DC or Chicago, IL) that will require travel up to 25% of the year.

The Senior AV Sales Manager is responsible for securing new business for the company, helping to maintain and grow existing client relationships, and adhering to the administrative processes and procedures of the organization. This critical position is the link between the client, the customer service team and the company.



The Senior AV Sales Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

- Identify sales prospects within existing CRM database and through various industry and association events and resources
- Update and maintain client and event data for new and assigned accounts in CRM database
- Assist in the preparation of professional, comprehensive and customized sales proposals including comprehensive quotes
- Travel, as necessary, to participate in sales & marketing presentations to potential and existing clients and attend national trade shows
- Cultivate industry relationships by representing Projection at industry related networking events on a local (Washington, DC and/or Chicago) and national level
- Facilitate the turnover of new business to the Account Executive/Project Manager and take responsibility for the clear and accurate communication of the client’s expectations
- Review final billing to ensure all commitments and contractual terms are met and deposits are deducted (first year)
- Perform administrative and other duties as assigned by the given deadlines


Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President.



Internal Relationships:

You will maintain a cooperative working relationship with all departments and work as a liaison between the client and these departments to ensure successful, high quality delivery of our equipment and service. In order to completely participate in the achievements of the company and help grow the business, the Senior AV Sales Manager must communicate concerns about policies, procedures, levels of service and/or personnel challenges directly to a Department Head.



External Relationships:

You will build and maintain relationships with the company’s key clients as well as industry vendors and partners in order to establish relationships that will lead to securing new business.



Measurement:

You will be evaluated on your ability to manage a pipeline of business via the CRM system, book new business, retain/grow existing business, and to help achieve first the highest possible level of service and second the profitability goals for each event. You will have to effectively communicate and help to exceed client expectations and perform in accordance with the duties and responsibilities listed above.



Education and Experience Requirements:

- College degree preferred but not required
- 5-10+ years audiovisual sales experience is required
- Experience with SugarCRM or similar Customer Relationship Management program is required
- Sales, customer service and/or teamwork training a plus


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Must demonstrate proficiency in Windows based computers, particularly Microsoft software applications including PowerPoint
- Successful track record using CRM platform to generate successful sales campaigns and appropriate sales pipeline
- Must be comfortable giving sales presentations to small groups

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must relate to a wide variety of individuals from various backgrounds and be able to develop long-term relationships with clients and other industry contacts
- Self-disciplined with good organizational skills; must be able to independently manage their time and complete tasks by the appropriate deadlines
- Must understand and demonstrate the importance of taking the appropriate steps to close deals with potential customers
- Work cooperatively with other team members


Other Requirements:

- Must have valid driver’s license and a car
- Must pass a background check
- Must be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends as required

Work Hours:

Generally the expected hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm although travel, trade show attendance and weekend work will be necessary from time to time.
