Tecumseh Memorial Day Parade

Tecumseh Memorial Day Parade This is when you can come to get the most updated information about the 2021 Tecumseh memorial day parade.

Operating as usual

As Many of you know I retired from being the Tecumseh memorial day parade line up coordinator. And unfortunately my health is prohibiting me from even seeing the parade this year however I have been told there are rumblings from a number of people and complaints that no candy is being thrown at the parade. This has been addressed years ago along with the fact the parade is kept politically and advertising free.
We do not allow anything being thrown to the crowd example would be candy This is A rule that was put in effect for safety and liability we have a number of vehicles participating in the parade and do not want small children running into the street and possibly being hurt. If anyone parade participants or anyone watching has a problem with this please feel free to contact Gary Naugle. As has been said in the past this parade Should be thought of as a funeral procession you wouldn’t throw candy or anything else at a funeral would you. Please respect our veterans. Thank you Sue.

Keep in mind is that the 2021 Tecumseh memorial day parade will be on this year looking forward to seeing everyone

Homemade Tortillas

I usually have to double this flour tortilla recipe because we go through them so quickly. The homemade tortillas are so tender and chewy, you’ll never use store-bought again after learning how to make tortillas. —Kristin Van Dyken, West Richland, Washington

As many of you know I have stepped down once before from my position as Line-up coordinator and assistance to the parade marshal. I have resigned for the last time. Dawn Bird has assumed my position, any questions or comments should be directed to her The page is now administrated by Dawn Bird,

Good Morning my name is Sue Schultz Memorial day parade lineup coordinator and assistant to Gary Naugle. I would like to bring to the attention of the participants and spectators of this year’s parade that the parade is thought of as a memorial for those that have died keeping us free. Therefore it can be thought of as a funeral procession. With this in mind we work very hard to keep this event advertising free and politically free. Please do not throw anything to the spectator’s example being candy; you wouldn’t throw candy during a funeral would you? Secondly anything political we strive to keep all politics whether you be handing out flyers for a candidate or collecting signatures from the spectators for whatever campaign you are working. You wouldn’t do that at a funeral would you? Therefore we request that you follow what we have asked and just honor those who have kept freedoms that we enjoy every day. This day is to honor the memory of those who fought to keep us safe and free please save your political agendas for another day and keep this day for the memory of those who have sacrificed. Thank you
