Thanks to all who came out on this rainy day. We have the most caring community around! A BIG thank you to the volunteers who gave their time on this rainy day. We're also grateful to Smoky Mountain H.O.G. group, for supporting the cause. Truly, couldn't have done this without each one who supported this effort. Because of you, many children will have a better Christmas.

Howdy everyone! Here's another local, small business staying open, and changing things to keep everyone safe! Curbside service only. Call ahead with your order, and they'll bring it out to your car.

Good morning, we hope everyone is staying well. As you likely know, we are a small, family-owned and run business that focuses on service and take pride in our single brick and mortar location to bring you everything you need to care for your pets. During these unprecedented circumstances we feel it is our responsibility to do our best to stay well to serve you best, and also to protect you by ensuring that products are handled and exposed as little as possible. We have been working harder than ever to make sure we have everyone’s needs on hand to weather the coming weeks. Until further notice, like our friends in the restaurant industry, we are keeping things curbside pickup only. Call in or email us your necessities, or just pull up and tell us from your car. Thank you for your continued support and stay well friends! (828)484-9247 or email [email protected]

Shop Around the Corner

Hello friends! Here is another small business, right next door to Rodney's Auto Service! This lady has been a friend to our Bike and Cruise events! She often sings the opening, National Anthem for us! Her store is open! She has lots of beautiful, and unique items. Let's support our local business owners!

If you can't get out tto the shop, I'm bringing the shop to you! Call me at 828-777-9206. If you live not too far away, I will bring it to you. If you want to pull up in front, just pop your trunk and I'll load you up! Curb service!

Main Street Grill

Hi everyone! We want to help local small restaurants by sharing their information. Here is another one doing takeout. Main Street Grill. Check their page for updates on the menu, and the hours.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY -
MAIN STREET GRILL OPEN FOR TAKEOUT ONLY

All restaurants and bars in North Carolina must limit operations to take-out and delivery only as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, as per an executive order from Gov. Roy Cooper.

To comply with this new ruling we will be offering takeout options only. Please call us at 828-645-5500 to place your order for pickup. We unfortunately are not able to offer delivery.

Additionally we will be reducing our hours during this time. Beginning Wednesday, March 18th we will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 12:00pm to 7:30pm for takeout service. We will be closed Sundays and Mondays.

We do not know at this time how long these hours will remain in effect. We may need to reduce hours even further based on the changing requirements of the state, or based on declining sales during this uncertain time. Constant re-evaluation will be taking place and we will keep you all updated.

As always, we are adhering to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services’ strict guidelines for hand hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness, and illness precautions. We are taking extra care to go above and beyond these guidelines during this time.

Thank you all for your continued support. As most of our regulars know, this restaurant is owned by myself (Porter - the chef) and my wife (Erin). We support 8 employees, most of whom are supporting young children. We have three young children of our own, and are just doing our best to get through this terrifying time. We couldn’t have ever gotten this far without our amazing, supportive customers and we can’t thank you all enough.

-Porter and Erin

Stackhouse

Folks, here is another local, small business offering takeout while dining inside is suspended. This restaurant is in Mars Hill. Check their page for updates.

Quick update folks: Governor Cooper just released a statement that statewide restaurants and bars are required to go to take out only beginning at 5pm today.

I called my wife and shared the news. She asked what my plan was and I told her to try and be the best damn take-out restaurant we can.

So beginning today at 5pm we will be shifting to take-out and curb side pickup only.

We are gonna need your support to make it through this. If you like what we have going in Mars Hill, please consider supporting all of us - The Original Papa Nick's and Baa'd Sheep Burritos with shifting your normal dining patterns to carry out and curb-side pickup .

It doesn’t look good for any of us right now, but we remain committed to serving you all in the safest and most responsible ways we can.

More updates as we get the info from on high.

Kindly,
Nathan
