UK guitarists?

Calling London guitarists looking for a new gig!

PENNY LANE needs you! Please share!

I need to find a guitarist to help out with shows my producer cannot play! It's for short 20-30min sets across London at a few live venues, some radio and some industry events!

Some are for networking and experience, others are paid! Renumeration will be music festival Artist passes, guestlist for cool events, free booze a lot of the time and a cut of paid gigs!

Please email me at:

[email protected]

if you are interested and decent at guitar or know someone who might fit the bill!

Prefer someone who likes Americana/ Rock/ Country/Folk, has a sense of humour and can also do backing vocals! Also good if you like whisky, laughing, travelling and puppies 😎

The style needs to be kinda americana/acoustic rock/country/Alt folk - think KT Tunstall/Sheryl Crowe and meets Mumford and Sons and a bit of Joan Jett and Blondie 😎

I can email tracks to people who email a short sample of their playing and a photo of thenselves with contact details to:

[email protected]

Most of these gigs are London based for now but there may be some in Manchester and abroad ( expenses paid)

Thanks so much!

Xx Penny

Half Moon Run at the Mod Club, Toronto – Gig review | Music Vice

http://www.musicvice.com/reviews/live/half-moon-run-at-the-mod-club-toronto-181215
Thursday night at the Mod Club, I was treated to all of the above and more. Half Moon Run, who having recently dropped a new album in October, were hitting Toronto on their latest tour. The band joked about their “matinee” when they hit the stage at 7:30 pm. You heard that correctly – an early and welcomed start by myself, and by the looks of it, their fans did not seem to mind – this “matinee” was sold out..... Read more on our website!

Pop Evil at The Phoenix, Toronto – Gig review | Music Vice

Pop Evil is the kind of music that makes you want to become the king of the forest dual-wielding chainsaws.

It’s like hair metal came back from the old days with a buzz cut and a pension and drank from the fountain of youth and grew all its hair back in a matter of minutes.

New music update: Towers of London reunite

Towers of London are back and about to tackle the music scene once again after almost a decade out of the daily headlines and spotlights.

How much of a difference can a decade make, we ask? Can a band like this grow up a bit without growing old or losing the spirit that made them so infectious first time round? What are they looking to offer to the music scene in 2015?

Music Vice will let you know in an upcoming review of the group's new music and video. The bands single launch party and video premiere will be held at Sanctum Soho hotel on Wednesday the 28th of October and we will be there to check it out and chat with the band.

After somewhat of a hiatus from the public eye we don't know what we are in for on Weds, but you will know about it here first.

Hold tight folks ;)
