roots/bluegrass/blues music bbq The B-4 Appalachian Roots festival is a two day event with bluegrass, blues, BBQ and brews. On Friday there will be the finals of the Watering Eyes Of The Hills song writers competition, Instrument and jam workshops, and instrument company displays.
Saturday will be full of music, BBQ sampling. All proceeds from the event go to The Oconee Heritage Center and Oconee Preservation Unlimited Stewardship Trust. Bands include Russel Moore and Third Time Out, David Jacobs Strain, Last Road, New Dixie Storm, True Blues, Conservation Theory more to come.

Brewery highlight of the day!!! You will be very interested in what Sugar Creek out of Charlotte is bringing to our Tamassee Craft Brew Festival! We were involved in a small taste test tonight and we as IPA fans and fruit infused fans were well pleased with the way this beer paired with our wonderful April meal! Then.....the other offering takes a darker turn, not in a bad way as in evil but in a most enlightening way, one which brings flavor and doubles your pleasure! Lack of funding and support has put the B-4 on the shelf for this year but we never give up!! It AIN"T in us! We shall maintain and rise again, maybe on another horizon! Stay alert!

one more thing.....the beer aspect had to be cancelled if you have not already found out about that. But that should not really be a damper, that was always secondary to the music anyway.
