We're always excited to be a part of this event, but this year was even more special with the videos we created to promote the 10 year anniversary! The confetti was SO fun even in the rain.

Josh & Emily

Last winter I was in the middle of designing my new website for our name change and rebrand when I stumbled across one of my favorite clients photos. At that point, it had been a couple of years since Emily and Josh's photo session and I wondered where life had taken them.

To my surprise, I received an email from Emily just a couple of months following that to tell me the big news that she and Josh were engaged! We met for their wedding consultation and I could see that sparks were flying... literally- my house kind of started smoking from an electrical problem on the transformer outside. I joke that Josh basically saved my house from burning down, but that is just one reason why these two are clients I will always remember.

This Saturday they are getting married and I cannot wait! You've got to watch the engagement session video to see just how cute they are together.

This was about the time that we heard thunder from the storm rolling in across Lake Michigan. The breeze began to pick up and a few minutes later there were *some* sprinkles, but for the most part it was a perfect evening for the Boven's session!

Hey friends! I need help - I'm looking for recommendations on places in Michigan to take drone photos.

The catch is, I'd like for the main color of the photo to be pink, orange, yellow, green or blue. See the orange roof below and the beach Lake Michigan coastline that's green/blue? I'm on a mission to document unique places like this!

Can you help give me ideas?!

I finished these photos last week but have been thinking about them ever since.

The pop of yellow in this tie makes me smile. I haven't seen yellow much in weddings and that's really a shame. It's such a fun and happy color, perfect for a wedding day.

I'm a big advocate for mommas being in photos. I know how hard that is, though!

For one, I'm always shocked at how I look. "Does the camera really add 10.. er.. 20 pounds?" I feel like it does when I look at pictures of me!

Now, I'm the first to tell my clients, "NO way! You're beautiful the way you are." So why is it so hard to believe it myself?

And secondly, as a mom, taking pictures is MY job... okay I guess it literally is my job.😜 But, my kids are the ones doing all of the cute things. Who wants a picture of me, anyhow?

The answer: my kids.

Every once in awhile, while culling photos, I see a photo of me that Andrew took. I'll be honest and say I move past it quickly. I was THIS close to only posting the picture below of just Sadie... (Seriously, how cute is this picture?!) Good job, Andrew!

But in an effort to practice what I preach, I posted mine too. Mommas... get in front of the camera more. Your kids will thank you.

This little guy gave me a run for my money. Literally! He was all over the place.

I typically laugh when people warn me about their kids. As a momma to 3 bios and foster mom to more, I think to myself "Chasing kids ain't no big deal!" 😛

But boy... oh boy. Little Branson here set a new level of fast! His poor momma has her hands full with this guy. 😜

Do you remember back in September when we changed our name from Marc Photography to Tiffany Kraker Photography Co.? Well, I guess how could you forget? 😜 At the time, we knew the Marc name wouldn't be going away forever.

Most of you know that I have provided graphic + website design as well as brand identity + consulting... but what some of you may not know is that I have actually been providing these services for even longer than I have been a photographer! Say what?!?

It's true! Long before my days of photography, I was designing websites.

Over the years, I have been had the privilege of working with many businesses and non-profits. This has all been under the umbrella of our photography business. About 2 years ago I decided that I would love for it to be its own identity.

Since then I have been working through the kinks of operating different businesses and workflow. But I'm now ready (and super excited) to introduce Marc Creative!
