Hello Folks! SHARING IS CARING.If you have a friend or family in the US, Kindly share with them this Inspiring story from the CEO of Appstec America- An IT company based in USA. ...................................................................... Hi fellow Africans! I hope you are all having a beautiful day today.Today’s message is for those of us in USA on F1 (Student) visa who are wondering how to go about getting Jobs and changing your immigration status to H1B or GC. Please allow me inspire you today with my story! About 10 years ago, I came to the states as an F1 (MBA) student. My program was supposed to finish after 3 semesters and 1 summer session, but i was so worried about what was going to happen after finishing school since i had no Job and all the internships i was applying for i was not getting any positive feedback. I decided to extend school by one more semester hoping to get a job as i maintained my F1 status, but the semester passed by and there was no Job.☹☹☹☹ All along, i made some very interesting observation.None of my colleagues of Indian descent were going back to India after graduation and all of them were graduating and getting good Jobs working as Systems Analysts, Business Analysts, QA Analysts etc.I asked myself, How come all of us Africans were struggling doing all kinds of odd Jobs and yet these guys were not?.Due to my inquisitive nature, that is when i asked one of them how they were able to get these Jobs.He told me that there was a way of getting a good Job( by a good job, i mean a Job that pays you close to a 6-figure salary!!) that would also come with employment based immigration papers. This was all possible by going through some challenging but very doable IT training. From that moment, i started hunting for the training rather than for the Jobs that were never forthcoming. After a few rejections here and there, i was finally accepted to train as an Oracle Financials Consultant by a company owned by an Indian(The reason why i say owned by an Indian is because most American-owned companies will rarely give you a Job as an F1 student, and more so will rarely file for your papers, unless you are lucky). By the time i started the training i had almost used 2 months of my 1 year OPT working at Wendy’s flipping burgers and cleaning the bathrooms!!!☹☹.The training took me 3 months and by the 4th Month i was already working as an Oracle Financials Analyst making some really good money.6 months later this same company filed my H1B visa which initially was valid for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years. Even before my first 3 years of my H1B visa were over, I had already started my Employment based green card application and within no time I had filed my I-485 which now allowed me to work for any company and also gave me the freedom to register and start my company Appstec America. I started this company to help immigrants like you find good jobs in IT that also come with employment based immigration papers. Most of us don’t know this, but there has always been a huge shortage of people with IT skills in America. For many years Indian companies like Accenture, Infosys, TCS, HCL have been bringing resources from India on H1B visa to fill up this shortage and yet us African graduates are struggling to make ends meet. All you need to get in this space is a degree in Business, and any STEM degree and you are all set. Today, i would like to tell you this!...that you do not need to stay in school forever trying maintain your F1 status, that you do not need to stay in this country illegally, that you do not need to get married to anyone to get your immigration papers, that you do not need to file for asylum-YOU DO NOT need any of those!...Because you have the power within yourself to change your Job and Immigration situation once and forever!!!...and that power lies in the degree that you acquired in an American University and your own drive and ambition to succeed. Good day and God bless! Regards, Robert Mwiti 813-573-5619 ext 402 [email protected] Managing Director-Appstec America
